Coming on a treat after the rain but all the flowers are red with no hint of white. Do I need to do anything to bring it back ?

No it's fine. They have a habit of starting off all red, then eventually turning to red & white. They can have all white flowers towards the end of Summer if I recall correctly.

I have the same thing - some years all red, some years all white, and some years a mix. I think it's to do with how much rain they get. Or something. I just enjoy the changes over the years. I don't think it's doing the plants any harm.

Mine are red currently too, it's a shame they get the white as I like them much more when just red!

You could always try "Royal Bumble" @Crazybeelady. That's a beauty  :)

I'll have to see if I can find any space for another salvia!

Mine are too, I think it's because it hasn't been hot enough yet. Summer's well overdue!

It's 23oC in London - quite warm enough for me, and over the average temps for any month.

Royal Bumble is a much better plant, IMO Hotlips is only suitable for the compost bin, but each to their own.
How can you lie there and think of England

I can't say that I understand why Hot Lips attracts such loathing on the forum.
