I expect if there were any concerns, you could contact the company.  :)
That's interesting @Lyn. I hadn't heard that. I don't normally use anything other than watercress in the pond,  but the very warm weather we had earlier just sent the blanketweed off at a rate of knots. I normally just 'twizzle' stuff out too  ;)

Yes, best way, twizzle it out with a cane and put more oxygenating plants in.

    Hydrogen peroxide @Lyn!
I'm sure I've still seen that being sold. Must have a look.

Hi @Lyn the barley straw I bought recently from Blagdon’s had changed its name to Barley Straw Bugs so I wondered if it’s changed it’s formula due to the legislation? They probably took out the thing that works as it hasn’t helped my pond.  But I would hate to put anything harmful in my pond so I’m happy for them to regulate etc   Im absolutely passionate about wildlife and have just been watching 6 adult bullfinches on my feeder.  That’s the best number ever for me as I normally only get 1 pair, stunning birds.  I see you’re in Devon, I’m on the east side of Dartmoor, a few miles from Haytor 😁

Nice place to live,  much warmer your side,  I’m on the west side,  I look out on to Brentor,  and near enough as high.
There are a few people on here from the Dartmoor area.

Absolutely beautiful where you are I’m sure. Ours is completely different, we get shelter from the moor, when I walk the dogs at Haytor the temperatures is always about 3 degrees cooler.  We’re lucky to have the moors though, a beautiful place 😀
