This is the stuff I used @CDouch . It comes in various sizes, although I only needed the smallest size

Thank you @Fairygirl I shall certainly give that a try.  I’ve tried Blagdon’s Barley Straw Liquid but it hasn’t really made any difference.  I shall go online and buy some now 👍😃

My pond was very green this year - a combination of the shallow water and the very warm spring we had here. It's crystal clear now  :)

@Fairygirl it says it’s harmless to fish and plants, hopefully my tadpoles would also be ok? I would hate for anything to harm them.

Does it say on the tub if it's safe for birds? Couldn't find anything online.. 'my' birds drink and bathe in the bowl pond you see.

Hi @Slow-worm mmm I hadn’t thought about that, my birds bathe and drink from the pond as well. I’ll look into it further.  I’m sure @Fairygirl has birds using her pond too so perhaps we can rely on her knowing it’s ok?

I have a feeling barley straw extract has been deemed unsafe and is either banned or will be soon.

No problem for all the birds that constantly use my pond.  :)
