    @TheGreenMan All is not lost wash roots really well as the eggs are soil colour. Take lots of cuttings they will root really soon.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I gave up with heuchera for that very reason

    I have just gone through the remains of my Saxifrage collection. Most of them are rootless. I ave given up growing almost anything in pots. Planted the remains out in the garden to live or die as they choose.

    Nematodes! They do work well for pots. 😁

    Grit has done the trick for me for the last few years. I’d forgotten about that one as it was in a part of the garden I rarely go to.

    I lost all of the heuchera I planted in the garden too. Saxifraga are a new addition this year. I have little hope of them surviving. I’ve unknowingly moved to a weevil hotspot.

    Us too. The previous owners grew Fuchsias and so fed the dratted things.
    Having said that, the Auriculas and Saxes I planted out because I got fed up of the bugs, seem to have mostly survived.
