    Where did you buy the seed @Helentraynor
    I don't grow chillies, but I don't think the seed looks like tomato seed.
    Probably a good idea to do as @JennyJ says, and get a plant or two that's already doing well. Then just keep your toms going   :)

    Labelling is always important. It's very easy to completely forget what's in tray and pots, especially if you're sowing a lot of different things.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    The seeds are almost identical
    Chili seed on left
    Tomato seed on right (these are seeds I've saved, so still a bit orangey)

    Ah -fair enough @Pete.8. I don't grow chillies, but my daughter did some last year and I didn't think they looked like toms. 
    I wonder if the seeds in the packets were mixed up at the supplier. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
