You could try @Daniel Haynes , he might like being described as an "ethereal being". Another administrator popped up on a thread a few days ago but l can't remember her name 🙄.
While you're at it, would you kindly ask if the problem with loading photos could be looked at, and also the search facility which is not much use in coming up with the latest threads in my experience.
Happy to do that myself if you like @Joyce Goldenlily, that does sound a bit cheeky.

The picture issue has been a problem forever and no one seems interested in sorting it out. I have virtually stopped posting pictures because of the problems.
It might be a free forum, but they do sell a lot of adverts because of the numbers who use it.

If the long running photo 'glitch' can't be fixed it would be helpful if there was an information thread explaining to people how to overcome it, instead of photos being on their sides and members with the necessary skills being kind enough to put them the right way up.

It's a nice idea, if it achieved what you describe. But most people don't do what you want them to, so will still use cryptic or uninformative subject lines, post things in all and every category, and add their query to an existing and often unrelated thread. The Plants category description already includes IDing as one of its purposes, but people still post things all over the place.

Along with that, most regular users just go to Recent Discussions so wouldn't necessarily even notice if something was in an ID category.

In short, I think it would achieve little.

Most ID queries seem to get answered whatever category they are posted in.

We could always just have a @Silver surfer category - problem solved 99% of the time as far as I can see ;)

I must say, I like the serendipity. If you have a specific and urgent need for identification, I suppose you could use Google but you'd probably end up directed to this site anyway
