Hazel, I did smile at your post - that sounds just like my council!
Busy, I would have loved listening to the Dam Busters. My Dad was based at RAF Scampton - the original home of 617 Squadron - and he was stationed there when the first of the Avro Vulcan bombers arrived. I remember him taking us children to see these magnificent aircraft. We were a little too young to realise the significance and scary possibility of these. He also took us to see the little grave of Guy Gibson's dog whose name for PC reasons is not mentioned today. I believe that the original plaque on the grave was altered too.

Glad you slept well too Ante, hope you enjoy a relaxing day after such a busy week. Will be nice to browse through all your recent photos. How is your Dad.
@Busy-Lizzie glad you had a lovely evening.
It's a lovely sunny morning, Looks like it's going to be a lovely day.  Although the sun is shining on the conservatory windows and they look a bit smeary 😱 A job for tomorrow 😉

  • Good morning Ante, LB, Lily and all to follow.  I slept well last night and didn’t wake until just before 7am.  Lily enjoy the sunshine, it’s a little fresh here.  I found a tape of c carols from the church where I was christened and several of the Goon Show amongst others.  Chive it will be good to listen to them.  LB it’s good you had a better night.  Ante I hope all your pets and you are doing well.  Busy glad you enjoyed the concert.  We have in the past attended our Town Hall for concerts and it was very good.  Time for a cup of tea.  Hazel I hope you feel more rested.

Hello folks … hope all have had a restful night.

I hope you folk don’t mind if I don’t make as regular contributions here as most of you do  … there’s lots to do here, especially at this time of year, plus writing, painting, reading, walking and knitting … it seems rude to read and not say hello and wish you all well,  but if I responded individually I’d never do all my other stuff. Hope that’s ok and you understand that I’m not being rude by just popping in occasionally  😊

Good morning LB, SGL, Rosie and Dove.

SGL, my dad is well, thank you for asking. You know, older and grumpy. 😁

Rosie, all my pets are also well. I have small problem with male cats. They are all neutered, but sometimes they fight between thyself. Boys will be boys, and I can't imagine my house without cats and Max. My little pack of 8 cats, dog and dozen fishes in the pond.

I've just been looking at your latest posts on your thread @Ante1. It all looks so beautifully tidy, and big, you work so hard.

I will plant my new plants today, annuals.

The mole has been busy in the lawn again.  :s

@Ante1 glad your Dad is well. 😉
I've just looked on your thread.  Thank you for sharing all your photos, you've worked so very hard. Beautiful flowers and the potato field is amazing. Have a well earned rest today.
@Busy-Lizzie we've got mole Hills at the bottom of the garden too. It amazes me that such a little thing can cause such big hills and mess 🤬
