When to transplant and start feeding young Fuschia’s

    I kept an eye on them but it seems that the outer petal won’t fully expand to release the flower. It’s frustrating to see.  It’s been stuck like that for a week, plus the flowers are already starting to go over. Has this happened to anyone?

    Edit:  the buds that are forming look perfect though.  As soon as they start to open it just fails.

    In my opinion ( for what it’s worth)your growing medium is too rich .I leave them

    in their pots year after year with just the top compost changed for new and a dig over every spring.I don’t coddle any plants ,I just let them do their own thing.

    It’s very strange. No I haven’t done anything special.  I thought JI2 would be fine. They’ve got some slow release fertiliser scattered on top and that’s it.
