    I suspect that what you have around your way @thevictorian are one of the ornamental hawthorns such as Crataegus prunifolia  (often used as street trees)  grafted onto the more ordinary Crataegus monogyna, the common Hawthorn.

    The OP's main tree doesn't look like any Crataegus.
