    I bought three sorts originally but the only survivor is the yellow one, Pagoda, and it is increasing slowly.

    Thanks for the info @Silver surfer, and wonderful photos as always.
    I've had better luck from bulbs than plants, but that was erthythronium dens-canis, which seems a different kettle of fish altogether from the more refined types!
    I'll follow your advice and go for plants of White Beauty.

    I have grown E Pagoda for years I think it does seem easier to grow than the other colours.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
