Name of plant

Hello people, need your help please.
Saw this woodland plant today, it has a leaf simular to a hosta and a lovely little white flower. Want to know it name and weather it could be invasive if planted in a shady part of the garden.

I’ve never heard of them being described as invasive … they’re gorgeous, but the slugs keep spoiling mine 😢

It is an erythronium but not the dog's-tooth violet. That name belongs to erythronium dens-canis, smaller and earlier.

The ones in the photo derive from erythronium tuolumnense.
I find the dogs-tooth violet less slug-prone, it will even grow in grass. You may like to try it instead @Dovefromabove.

Maybe Erythronium californicum White Beauty.
A wonderful woodland spring plant.
Not invasive.

I'd be happy if mine multiplied more than they do, but gorgeous when they flower, and a welcome sight at this time of year.

I just had a look online with a view to trying "White Beauty''. Hayloft will be sending out bulbs in September. I think that might be a good way of buying them @Dave williams

So far in my slug-dominated garden, the only one to persist and increase (terribly slowly) has been E. ‘Pagoda’. It helps if they are mulched before coming up with composted bark—that seems to deter the molluscs.

In the past I did this..result...nothing grew!
If at all possible try to seek them out now while they are actively growing.

Maybe visit an Alpine garden show/Scottish rock garden show...
or order mail order from a specialist nursery.
