    @Marlorena thank you - would a liquid seaweed feed be OK? I don't know too much about the different types of plant food, mainly just about the NPK ratio, but I have read that seaweed feeds have more trace nutrients in them.

    ...yes you can use that but I wouldn't use it all the time, only as an occasional boost.  On a more regular basis, it's best to use Tomato fertilizer [I use Tomorite]... as roses need more potassium to boost flower production..

    I gave the roses in the ground ten mins each with a hose and some have shot up a foot, pretty much overnight. Don't underestimate the power of a good watering on a rose, even when it isn't hot.*

    *This is also a mental-note-to-self as I am a chronic under-waterer.

    That looks interesting Marlorena. I've quite forgotten to check on my EduH which is on the outer side of the fence. Bin day tomorrow though so I'll have a look later.
