..quite a few today, I'm surprised there's anything to show to be quite honest with you.. 'Bring Me Sunshine'.. 'Wild Rover'.. 'Tottering..' 'Ghislaine...' 'Scented Garden'.. 'Cornelia'..
'Mutabilis'.. a bit sparse at the moment.. 'Tall Story'.. 'Forever Royal'.. 'BMS'.. again.. strong scent of myrrh today.. 'Wilhelm'.. a hybrid musk, which produces masses of buds whilst leaving the first flush to develop hips... No need to deadhead for continuity of bloom..
@cooldoc ..it's more red than pink but has no scent..
yeah, quite pleased with the 2 Austins, but both in pots, so better looked after...
I might transfer 'Nathalie Nypels' back to a pot as it was so much better last year, this year in the ground it's been drought ravaged... reasonably healthy but few blooms.. just shows the difference between regular feeding and watering, and somewhat neglect.. ..last year.. ..today..
It's been a rainy week and windy in its first half and as the result, the 1st flush (2nd for some roses) and the rose peak are fully over here. Most early summer perennials are also over or taking a break. And it looks like our typical August weather (wet, drizzle, but warm) and it will be a blackspot hell soon. It's hard to find good-looking roses right now.
'Gertrude Jekyll' starting 2nd flush, there are almost as many buds as in the 1st and fresh new foliage (old lost to BS much earlier). 'Faustinia', I am in love with its fragrance 'Purple Lodge' 'Ebb Tide' NoID red, 'Minerva', PAoK
@edhelka. My daughter ought me Ebb Tide for my recent birthday so I have something to look forward to. It is still in its pot as I am short of space but intend to dig up one or two which haven't done so well this year. That then brings me to what I have read so many times on the forum that you shouldn't plant a new rose where an old one has been. Would like to see it in my rose bed rather than being on its own elsewhere so unsure yet what I shall do.Â
@Fran IOM Does the rose bed have only roses? A good trick is to dig up some perennial plant, put it in the spot of the old rose and plant the new rose in place of the perennial.

Stephanie d'Ursel has impressed me with its flowering.. growth is not rounded or bushy.. my conditions are not optimal either..
