More reassurance here. We had three cats and almost every poisonous plant on the list in our garden. Never ate anything but grass to my knowledge, and lived to ripe old ages. You could tell your neighbour you have done considerable research and there may be a theoretical risk, but no evidence to support removing your plants. We did bring our cats in every night, so wouldn’t do any harm to point out that it would be safer for her cat, to stay home overnight! Better for the wildlife too. How would she respond to your concerns about her cat killing your garden birds or small mammals?
Maybe you could ask her if everything is ok? Sometimes people focus on a single concern that they feel they can express, while really that’s just a manifestation of what’s really worrying and upsetting them.

Am I the only one who thinks it's slightly strange that the original poster hasn't responded yet?

Not at all. Lots of people don't have their notifications set up to receive email. Some people only realise they have messages or post replies when they view the site or log back in.

Nope, not strange. The original post was only yesterday, and he/she might be at work today and not able to look in here.

Tell your neighbour that you haven't been well, and your doctor has found that you are allergic to cat fur.
If she is such a good neighbour as you say she is, then i'm sure she will shave all her cats. Or keep them indoors.  :)

Not really - it's only been a day and there is quite a lot of info for the OP to read thru :)

I think antifreeze is quite a sweet taste that cats and other animals seem to like. For some reason horrible people use it to kill cats.

Our next door neighbours father in law had a pigeon shed at the top of their garden. He was caught putting down a bowl of antifreeze mixed with milk. Apparently it is quite common amongst his ilk to keep cats away from breeding pigeons. We had words. Not very polite words. Threats were made as to where it was going.  It got removed and his pigeons went shortly after.  Cats that drink antifreeze die a horrible painful death.
