Do you need a getaway driver @Pete.8? ;)
    I'm a bit far away - sorry!

Good luck with it @Lancashire Lass :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

At least Lancashire is a fair way from Essex - so I'm in with a chance :)

And it would be just my luck that your Hayley has grown so well, even though you have cut it down, because you are further south!
Seriously, thanks for the advice from both you and FairyGirl.

The Group 3s grow well enough here @Lancashire Lass so I think you're ok  :)

  • I've had success with several Clematis here as well. People seem a bit frightened of them but I've never had a problem. If you can grow them in bonny Scotland, you can grow them anywhere! 😊

The only ones I can't grow at all [of the types I've had] are the koreanas. No matter what I do , it's just too wet for them. Even in the driest spot I can give them, and up against a wall, it just doesn't suit them.
They're all extremely hardy though.    :)

They're hungry plants too and as it's in a pot it'll need some feed every couple of weeks or so when it gets underway.
    Best of luck!

Yes, i always feed throughout the growing season. I have my own home made liquid feed that i apply frequently. I have just fed them with blood and bone meal for the start of the season.
    They get spoilt really!
