One bouquet I was given that I remember with great pleasure was a huge bunch of Sarah Bernhardt paeonies given me when I ran the Norfolk Artists' Open Studios one year. It was absolutely glorious ... and huge ... I could only just see over it
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
She has a website and a shop that I won't post here as it would be advertising and that's against forum rules. I've no wish to be rude but the spray chrysanthemum on your original post should be put into the rubbish bin asap as it's half dead and no florist worth their salt would dream of selling it and the advice given from me is from a florist of 40 plus experience.
Thank you for your advice. You're right, the flowers aren't as beautiful as I'd like them to be, but I have fond memories of them and that's more important than their freshness.
@hannamoor1696 I don't wish to appear rude, but I don't understand why a florist who loves flowers would use a garish rainbow-coloured photo-shopped image of flowers as a 'signature', when there are so many much more naturally beautiful flowers in the world?

Might you be able to explain Florida Salad to me? As you lived there. Off topic I know but I have a Florida Salad website I'd like to plug once I get everyone talking about it.

I don't see a problem with that. If it annoys you, don't look at my signature or my profile. Seems very rude and toxic of you.

Colourful Florida salad - it can be eaten hot or cold. If I understand you correctly, are you interested in the recipe for the salad?

Florist roses never seem to have any scent, so I use my own... also Camellias when I had them.. these are my favourite flowers.. I have no floristry experience so I resort to simple arrangements..
My favourite is Paeonia Spamalot which is only grown in the USA I believe (my great-aunt's nephew's son grows it in Catfish Paradise, Arkansas. It's a superb perennial, which unusually can be propagated by phishing - an unusual gardening practice perfected by the ancient aboriginal Ugandese tribes and rarely used these days.
