The most beautiful flowers

Hello!
I am originally from Florida. I am a florist by profession and flowers are a passion.
I would like to exchange experiences. What are your favourite flowers? Is there a bouquet that you remember the most? Who gave it to you and how big was it?

What could be more beautiful than flowers?

  • For me, it's not always the looks of the flower, but its scent; Night scented stocks in a summer's evening, or nicotiana.
Sweet peas and baby's breath or perfumed dianthus.
Yes, I like the drama of Canna or Agapanthus, too!

Hello. I was a florist in my working life and my daughter took on the business and still has it. Size for me doesn't count, it's the thought that matters. There was an advertising slogan very many years ago that went along the lines of a flower is worth a thousand words.

I want to tell you that you have very unusual taste.
How long have you been doing flowers? Am I correct in assuming that you grow them yourself?

    Wow! Cool!
Does your daughter have an online shop? I'm just thinking about setting up my own and looking at different examples of already set up shops on the internet.

What's unusual about liking scented flowers?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

It's always nice to receive a bouquet of flowers, but my arranging skills are limited to "plonk them in a vase". I'd rather see flowers growing in the garden, or in the wild.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

She has a website and a shop that I won't post here as it would be advertising and that's against forum rules.
I've no wish to be rude but the spray chrysanthemum on your original post should be put into the rubbish bin asap as it's half dead and no florist worth their salt would dream of selling it and the advice given from me is from a florist of 40 plus experience.

It is unusual in my opinion. I love wildflowers for example.

I don't think showing the shop to your daughter would be seen as advertising. Especially as you are no longer a new user.
We are just discussing a topic we all love.
