We started with pancakes topped with grated gruyere and a fried egg, and move on to maple syrup and lemon, and blueberry and Greek yoghurt with toasted flaked almonds 😋

And on a more oniony note … spot the surplus definite article

It's so frustrating when he hogs the laptop and I have to use my mobile phone. My fingers are too big and clumsy. The only time I get a good session at the computer is when he's gone to bed. We have just had words. We came back from lunch at the pub, he lay on the sofa so I crept upstairs to the study and started Wordle only to be disturbed before I'd finished because he said he had something vital to do on it.

The drive to the pub is very pretty. There were lots of snowdrops on grass verges and pretty villages with old thatched cottages, several of them painted Suffolk pink. When we got to the pub the car park was full of horseboxes. The local hunt were out and had had refreshments this morning at the pub. We saw some of them returning before we left. They hunt a laid scent, not foxes. The meal was huge, we couldn't finish it, no dinner tonight. I had planned on making pancakes.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Evening all,

I agree with you all about the news broadcasts, very upsetting to watch, I was reduced to tears by the people at a vigil last night in Sheffield (I think). So very sad. But we're just watching it, they're enduring it. I keep peeking at the latest updates hoping someone will have taken Putin out I'm sorry to say.

No room for pancakes here either, I made a tuna pasta bake with garlic bread, delicious but very filling.

@Busy-Lizzie, why don't you buy yourself a little tablet, bigger than a phone, but not too big to carry around, I have one with a magnetic detachable keyboard, I can simply swipe with my fingers if I haven't room for the keyboard, but it's ever so easy to use, very light and a long battery life. Save any arguments. Glad you enjoyed your trip out anyway.

I'm hooked on a book at the moment, finding it a great way to switch off. My physio is doing wonders, but insists I need to find more relaxing time. Easy to say, but not so easy to do, especially when I see the paperwork mounting up. I am restricting myself to only working until 6:30pm though at the moment, making sure the evenings are 'downtime'.

So, back to my book, although, as a murder mystery/thriller not sure it's entirely relaxing. 😅

    Good evening all.

Hi All.  We’ve had lots of rain, so not going anywhere today. Town tomorrow instead of today maybe. If not, we won’t have a choice about Friday shopping.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
We have a damp grey start to the day here in Norfolk … and OH appears to be having a lie-in! I might have to give him a nudge…

Good morning one and all!   Afternoon @Pat E

Grey start here too @Dovefromabove  We are "expecting" rain but I fear it will not even wet the whistle!  I'd like to do some weeding.  Sprayed in between the paving stones yesterday and couldn't resist pulling at a weed or two in the garden, but they just break off at ground point.  Frustrating.

Patience @Busy-Lizzie   It's the constant nagging pain that makes one grumpy and impatient.  He's also most likely to be stressing for tomorrow - as you do!   The damp weather doesn't help.  My other hip has been grinding now for the past week even though I do gym twice a week!  @D0rdogne_Damsel has made a good suggestion - a tablet or an iPad would solve the problem.

I hope you all have a pleasant day.

The indoor tennis for folk with gammy knees etc starts again today after two years … I’ve a feeling I might be a bit stiff tomorrow …

Oh that is sad. A good age though.
I hope the day goes well for everyone, whatever is planned.
It's looking wet and dull here, so maybe a bit of gentle footling indoors!
