In my experience nobody will ever admit they were wrong.

I've been told I won't get planning to build a house here " because there isn't a pavement "  I live in the countryside.
    Devon.

There must be some rich people down in Cornwall,  I can’t afford to buy lamb chops to eat let alone shove them up someone’s exhaust pipe.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Why would you need a pavement?
What a load of billhooks. How does any house in a rural area get built then...and they do.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Ridiculous! I live in a village of about 800 houses, and there are only pavements on about 4 roads!

Perhaps you could build a pavement and swear it has been there for decades. How would they know?
