Oh my good night, I'm due for oil soon and I guess it will need about 800 - 900 lts to top it up. Even in a warm summer I usually need the heating on for a couple of hours in the evening. Never let it be said that cottages are warm.

I paid £1.021 per litre before VAT. How much is it now @philippasmith2?

Something is feasting on the ivy down the end of the garden. I don't mind. There's more than enough for everyone.

I've just been picked for jury service but I don't think I could physically cope with that - has anybody had any experience in getting out of it?

We needed some tyres, after much checking I went to Halfords as they were doing 15% discount on the ones I wanted.  Booked appointment this morning at 11:30, more than  2 hours later, message to say job done (we had gone for a walk). Got back they said all done we will email invoice etc. Got to car , wrong tyres they have fitted 4 seasons/ winter tyres. Went back in- OH we will have to re-order correct ones. So that means another morning wasted when they get them . DOES NOBODY DO ANYTHING RIGHT ANYMORE.

If it is feasible, you could say that you have read/know of the case due to be tried and that you have already formed an opinion ( either way ) so couldn't be considered as neutral.  Don't know whether it would work or not ?

Oh dear, Allotment Boy, how inefficient and what a pain for you. Dare I ask what the road was like?

Do you have a genuine reason not to do it? If yes, you can write to them explaining the problem.
