I don't think so. All investigations start at a point don't they? They then gather evidence to prove either way. no one can know what involvementg there was - and at what level - until an investigation takes place . I think there is (and was) enough 'concern' for that investigation to have started already.
Similar to what should have happened with the Post office scandal - once there was evidence that a computer system may have been at fault, an investigation should then have been instigated to gather all the evidence.

Apart from Charles I, has a UK royal ever been taken to court?
I personally believe that no one should be above the law and should be prosecuted in the same way. Leaders should not be above the law - to me the law should be applied more stringently to those who hold power. Isn't that done the lower down the chain - ie a PC who is convicted is sentenced according to their role as an enforcer of the law.
Given evidence circulating then, shouldn't an investigation into certain public figures have been instigated way back?
Yes, Princess Anne I believe - for a dog offence.

Sad to see that political discussion has now been banned, but it was inevitable given some of the extreme comments being made recently.  The Politics thread had run along very successfully, in my opinion.

The politics thread is still there.

There is some kind of event going on locally, cars parked everywhere, across people's driveways etc. When OH arrived home, a lady who had just arrived asked him if it was ok to park where she had, and he replied that it was fine.
She apologised for the other cars, saying that she knew some of the owners and would be having a word !
(Maybe only half a curmudge in this case).

Fridge freezer fixed yesterday,  finally down to temperature this morning.  Ice was jamming a fan behind a concealed panel.  Some things at the back in the lower drawers were still frozen (just) My moan is still if they had come the first day we may have saved more.

Glad it’s fixed and that something could be saved … hopefully you kept steaks, Sunday joints and home cooking in the lower drawers and not the odds and sods of leftovers that are often in the bottom drawer of our freezer. 🤞

  • I've just looked in the "How to post a new discussion" thread, and her posts are there. Maybe it's only where she started a thread, or maybe admin will get round to it.

However, she did say she'd instructed admin to remove her a/c, and if they've obliged, then they have carried out her wishes. To NOT do so, would be criticized.

I've been stung by a wasp today. I expect it in warm weather but seems a bit unfair at this time of year  :/
