We had a terrific storm yesterday evening with torrential rain for hours, the weather is hot during the day and then storms in the evening, this is going on for another week apparently, everything is flattened.
Bone dry here. 28C by day and 15C by night this week and set to get warmer. Light north easterly breeze but no rain in sight. Not so good for recently planted perennials and sunflowers but not complaining.

@wild edges where do you live? It's been consistently quite warm weather here for over a week.
We're up at 1000ft with another 300ft of mountain behind us blocking out the early morning sun. Once it makes it over the top it warms up rapidly but we're always a few degrees colder than places that are only a couple of miles away.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
After a reasonably good March/April/early May with a decent amount of rain, we've now had none for almost two weeks and there's none in the forecast for the next 10 days. Business as usual .
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
I’ve got loads to plant out but will have to wait until it rains again, I never water the garden and now it’s dry as dust. Moisture underneath for established plants but not new ones. They’re in grow bag trays, I just fill with water each day.
@wild edges same here with altitude problem, 2 to 3° lower and 3/4 weeks behind most people.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
