Perhaps you can freeze the children and scrape off the dirt. If you get them to jump, it might fall off.

The trick is stopping them jumping.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

That would stop the dirt freezing sufficiently.

Flipping heck @Nanny Beach that sounds a bit rum.

  • I think the usual method is just keeping  your head in cryp isn't it ?  The rest of your body can just gently rot - or, of course, simply freeze (without the use of technology) if you can't afford the heating over winter  ;)

  • You all need to write to my energy Co and ask for the same deal as me  they are still only deducting the standing charges.  I haven't paid for any energy for a year. My account is over a  thousand in credit. 🤣

Good news. After months of working on water saving, and no longer having to supply water to the building site next door, my bill has been reduced by £11 a month. Just in time for the electric bill to go up by £40 a month. Oh well. We're back under 120 litres of water per person per day though.
Bad news. Kids are ill again and off school. Bang on the two week mark from the last illness. The two week cycle continues.
Good news. Loads of people are taking the free cooking apples I've been leaving out. Someone turned up in a council truck this morning and had brought his own bag especially. I even gave two to a pair of drunken chavs one evening but warned them they'd be better off cooking them than eating them. They both looked like they needed a good meal.
