Tried frying the pods yesterday and a vast difference in taste as expected. Just like chips taste much different to boiled spuds.
As I said on your earlier thread about your constipation, my advice is similar. Order a Lamb Ceylon or Phal, and mix in a hand full of mangy toos, and both of your problems will be solved.
That was worth your 19 pence then - glad you enjoyed them
Ha ha ha, yes indeed you are not wrong.
Actually it gets better. Just had a salad in the big deep dish. I cut 6 'pods' up in to 1cm pieces-helps with chewing . But just like the stew, I still don't know what they taste like raw. I put such a variety in to the salad. Well someone told me it's the 'spice of life.
When the Daddies sauce goes in, there is not much chance. The main flavour is probably from the large amount of cottage cheese.
However, there is still a big handful of Mange left to try raw. Must have been intended for a family, or a strict vegatarian. It won't go to waste
Have you got somewhere you can grow them @young codger? I used to grow in among other planting when the girls were little, but the more recent ones have been in pots. One large pot with 3 plants in it gives a good harvest.
I'm assuming the seed is still viable, so if you want some, I can send you a wee amount in an envelope. Just PM me your address if you fancy giving them a go.
That is kind of you Fairygirl, thank you. I will PM you.
I was recently thinking what (veg) I could grow. I thought about Asparagus, but have not looked online to see what the requirements are for it. I think it takes 2 years to harvesting time?
I have cleared an area and planted (whips) fruit trees. As I have spaced the trees out there is plenty of room for a few veg inbeween.
