I was fascinated by Mutabilis last year when I saw it in this forum.. but was put off just because it was not fragrant.. traced a few of its offsprings (all with more petals) as I liked the way the flower changed their colours... but none of them are strongly fragrant... but a beautiful 'butterfly' rose bush and you have grown her the way she can show it off well....

..thanks Cooldoc.. it does grow very large too, I don't mind the lack of scent on this one though.

edhelka.. hope Octavia Hill does well for you, with higher rainfall that may help a lot..

We have a mutabilis near by and it's got to about 15 ft straight up. It needs some tlc, flowers for for months with an amazing range of shades.

I would like to see it in real life, it looks like several roses in one.

That is lovely. I looked it up. It has old fashioned looking double flowers in clusters  yet it is a hybrid tea. I thought hybrid teas had classic shaped flowers with pointy middles on single stems. So what is the difference nowadays  what defines a hybrid tea?

@Marlorena sometimes I feel as though I may end up making an impulsive trip to east anglia in search of your rose garden! Have you considered taking part in the RHS Garden scheme ? I would be the first to sign up and I’m sure so would everyone else here!

I'll queue up to have a glimpse of @Marlorena's rose garden when you open it up. I can bring cakes too.:wink:
