@pitterpatter I think it is amazing how they cope with such low temperatures. Anyone new to gardening may think that isit I have lost it only to find by lunch time it is looking good. I am not aware of any other plant that recovers in the same way.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Ashwood Double Yellow, second spring
Ashwood Moorcroft Legacy. I think this one is really sweet, had it about 5 years now.
I had a double yellow from Ashwoods until some plank put a size 10 on it just as it was emerging. I love the Moorcroft Legacy. Most of mine are barely showing buds.
