The 30C wash would probably be a little bit cheaper, but I doubt there's much in it.
I only wash woolens at 30C.
I vaguely recall that a 30C wash may not kill all bacteria, but it's only a vague recollection.

Sadly - that's often the only way to deal with some companies @Hostafan1.
It's ridiculous that people have to do it, but they seem to work on the assumption that people don't bother challenging them so they can get away with it, and many folk just don't challenge companies in any way, shape or form.
    Same with insurance etc.  :/

Like your style @Hostafan1 ;) That's my Plan B if I revisit in the spring.

Despite my requests to review my direct debit, I've been hundreds of pounds in credit with my energy company for quite some time.
Can't you just phone them and change the level? I did that. It took about two mins.

I spoke to a funeral director who told me " we charge £150 to courier the ashes back to you"
" Why do you use a courier? Are the ashes in a hurry? "

£150. Ludicrous. It's not as if they have to worry about going out of business...
Don't people just pick them up themselves? That's what we've always done.

I expect I'm repeating myself, but I challenged a woman about my car insurance renewal because of that nonsense [now outlawed] about loyal customers being shafted, and the new customers getting all the offers.
She was really rude about it. Told her I'd found a better deal and I just wanted to cancel it, but she wasn't taking no for an answer. The usual rubbish about how they could match it etc. Should have done that when you sent the renewal then, was my reply. She wasn't happy  :D

Many thanks folks about the cost of using computers - very reassuring to find out it doesn't cost the earth to chat to you lot on here.

    Hi @Nanny Beach,

I few pages back you mentioned Economy 7 is usually used to get a cheaper rate during the night, but it's not Economy 7 which we use.

The deal we have which gives us 5p per KWH for a limited number of hours overnight is called Octopus Go. The hours it's available suit us for the things we need to do.
Our day time rate of 14p is also better than we would be able to get now.
