In our supermarket you can buy sliced mushrooms, cucumbers etc etc all wrapped nicely in plastic for those that can't be arsed to find a knife.

I’ve given it a good pondering, @biofreak, and, sorry, but I have come to the conclusion I cannot be arsed about it.

I sometimes bought frozen mushrooms which were sliced. The reason being - I liked them in a stir fry, but no one else did. I couldn't buy loose mushrooms [all pre packed] so it was a very good option. I wouldn't have used a whole pack of fresh ones quickly enough either, so they would have been very wasteful.

I have to admit to a bought bag of diced onion carrot and celery  in the freezer.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Before anyone says it - the prepacked mushrooms were also dearer than the frozen ones, so it wouldn't even have been worth buying them, and slicing and freezing them myself, or I'd have done that.
    Something wrong there... :/

Why are cherry tomatoes bad for small children? My children and grandchildren loved 'baby tomatoes'. They seem to have been ok.

Cherry tomatoes are fine for little children providing they’re cut in half.  If one slipped down it could choke a child. Same goes for grapes.

Oh! Well, you have to prepare anything appropriately for children. That goes without saying. It's not the tomatoes in themselves.

I once " saved a life " when a little girl was choking on a fruit pastille in a shopping centre.
