    Lovely photos, thank you @scroggin
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Wow, the lawns are looking very green and lush for the south.

    Beautiful dahlias.
  • Yes @fire I was thinking exactly that when I went to Wisley on Sunday, surely they must have been watering it?? Some of it was downright luscious!
It looked really good didn't it @scroggin, it was my first visit there. Even my disinterested husband was impressed. We missed the flower show unfortunately.
They had a lot of nice hibiscus, which I have zero experience of, couldn't have told you what they looked like before I went, now I'm eyeing them up 😄
  • @Crazybeelady, we're lucky enough to live about 40mins away( depending on the M25!). We visited during the heatwave and they were doing lots of general watering then. The flower show attracted lots of visitors, they had to open an overflow carpark. They start the road widening scheme on the A3 next week so this will have an effect on journey times.
  • I'm originally from Kent @scroggin but left before I discovered gardening so never got to take advantage of how close it was to me then!

Crikey. She needs some lunch. Is that the ideal of beauty? 18 sets of poking ribs?
