  • I like the raised border, most border plants are too short to examine closely without bending down.

    They have a rather wet climate there (North Wales), so it allows them to grow things that don't like having wet feet. The head gardener thinks it was originally built to raise early fruit & veg.

    Thanks for the photos @JennyJ, Plas Cadnant is my favourite garden I love going down to the waterfall area. I’d love to stay in one of the cottages too, maybe one day 🥰

    No photos but we had a great visit today at Milton Lodge Gardens near Wells in Somerset. Lovely trees, terraced gardens, rose walk........sorry but words don't tell you what you would see here.
    The owner is there for the tea break and gives you a potted history of the very very old property and garden.
    We felt very welcome and learnt so much more about some plants.
    How many stars......10 at least
