A huge NGS garden this afternoon, lovely sunshine, dappled shade. Huge copper beeches, for anywhere, let alone London. Explosions of wildy honesty and tulips. And lovely cake. N8.
The tulips at the Hepworth, Wakefield garden are looking lovely at the moment. The garden is free and open 24/7, well worth popping in (we combined it with a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park)
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".
I went to Trentham Estate and Gardens, near Stoke-on-Trent, yesterday. They had a huge display of tulips and other spring flowers, and some very nice sculptures of fairies. The monochrome images were shot in infrared.
Kington Cottage, a Japanese-style garden between Preston and Blackpool, open for the National Garden Scheme. This was runner-up in the Daily Mail Best Kept Garden Competition 2017. The mono pictures were shot in infrared.
