Alyssum has a strong honey scent and many petunias are scented
Marigolds also have a scent and there are plenty of herbs of course.
Lavender is easy to grow from seed

My winter honeysuckle smells wonderful at the moment, but in summer my favourites are roses and sweet peas.

Just looked back and saw that you are asking about plants to grow from seed. I grew some double pink petunias one year that smelt gorgeous.

I've just been ordering some seed and a couple I noticed -
    Stocks - very highly scented
Cleome - tall, impressive and scented

Also as mentioned previously - Nicotiana Sylvestris
Very easy from seed (even though seeds are minute) - the scent in the evening from just one plant fills a huge area with an exquisite scent. They also readily self-seed

Another vote for nemesia! Lots scented I had a vanilla scented one last year (I say had, its still green!). Lots of seeds.
Scented viola, some lovely ones on chilterns seeds.

Non seed worth buying a pot of Daphne, smells incredible even from a few buds and would go in a pot if you want small, although winter flowering some of mine dosent really stop until midsummer.
