I am so sorry to see this Busy-Lizzie, and I think I can understand how you must be feeling. I didn't see my trees uproot on the night of November 26 last year, which is a blessing, but the shock and sense of loss the next morning was dreadful. Don't despair. Wait until you are well enough and I'm sure that in time you will see that your garden will heal. Nature will show her kinder side and help you. Get well soon.
@Busy-Lizzie I am so sorry you came back to such devastation. Heart wrenching scenes for you. Take it easy and get over your Covid, then do a little each day when youre up to it. So sorry for your neighbouring village without roofs. This climate change is having a terrible effect,Somalia,India etc.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
So difficult to bear @Busy-Lizzie, I know your garden is such a passion for you. As others have said, don't fret, get better and then continue to make your garden beautiful.
We weren't hit too badly here, but the constant heavy rain and then hot sunshine is taking its toll. Very few flowers out yet, I am hoping for some settled weather to bring everything on. I must plan better for June blooms, I seem to have a long gap between spring flowers and summer ones. I plan to move my lovely lilies closer to the house too, the farmer's field is desperately trying to take over down there and it's a long way to catch the lily beatles every morning.

My filipendula is flowering for the first time this year, although it has been so dry that I think it will go over fast, like the milk parsley.

The thubergia has taken ages to get going but I hope it will sttart to scamble up. The dahlias are just starting. I'm hoping the apples will stay on the espalier this year. It might be the best crop yet. In previous years I've only had one or two that made it to the harvest.

Lovely lilies; do they have a nice scent? Not sure what you mean about that farmer's field?
