A mix of nepita, geranium sirak and Roses. The campanula are now starting to open. Theres monarda, penstemon, salvia, echinops, asters and others hidden among it all, waiting to do there thing later on.
Sad news. We came back to my house in SW France to find my garden wrecked by a hail storm, hail stones had been the size of tennis balls. I am lucky though, there are over 2000 roofless houses in my local market town, so the district nurse told me. People are living in the sports hall. I'm in a hamlet outside the town and I think my roof is mostly OK thought there was water in the dining room extension. I had been at OH's cottage in Norfolk since April.
I bought this house in January 2021, garden was a blank canvas and I'd been making beds. Last year, June, round bed for roses to be planted this spring. The veg garden is beyond the gate.
April this year before I left, general view, new shrub border, veg garden.
Now
Now I have Covid and I'm too tired and poorly to do anything about it. Sorry for the moan, need to let off steam.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Such a shame @Busy-Lizzie, especially with you feeling unwell which makes things feel ten times worse. I know it's a cliche, but it could be a lot worse, at least your house is still standing and undamaged (l hope). I understand that you can't rush recovery from Covid, you really have to take it steady, so tempting as it might be, don't overdo it. As my Nan used to say "lt'll still be there in the morning". Possibly not a comfort, but l hope you know what l mean

That could be my garden, B. The same mix.
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
