    Is that for dry Bulbs @Silver surfer, or are they also 'in the green'?

    I must confess I haven't looked at the price of snowdrops lately - I have more than enough here.

    After all, it's not much more than the price of a coffee these days.
    That is the in the Green price....For single Galanthus nivalis.

    I am a huge fan of Peter Nyssen for  bulk dry bulbs.
    Euro bulb for snowdrops in the green just excellent/value for money.
    Parkers..cannot comment..never used them.

    1. Parkers.

    2. Peter Nyssen.

    Nyssen was the best price for snowdrops in the green I could find [from a reputable supplier] until you mentioned Euro @Silver surfer. It does depend on the quantity you want, but it would hardly be worth buying only a handful. The nature of them suggests most people would be buying at least 25 or more.
    I don't regard Parkers as a reliable supplier of plants. Fine for seeds and bulbs, but I'd regard 'in the green' as plants.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Most of my snowdrops were purchased in the green from Broadleigh http://www.broadleigh-bulbs-spring.co.uk/shop/index.php?ns=catshow&ref=galanthus Now a few years on I have hundreds and hundreds of them … several varieties. Great suppliers. 😊

    I think I looked at them and they were more expensive @Dovefromabove.
    Again, it does depend on the quantity you want, and delivery charges etc.
    I enjoyed looking at the varieties though  :)

    Fabulous garden Silver surfer. You must miss it greatly. I love woodland gardens.

    I was going to mention Cambo Garden and its snowdrops, a wonderous place but it's a bit far for most to travel. I was there last summer too and their herbaceous borders are glorious. As an aside, I stood chatting to a volunteer gardener who told me they had taken a few plants from St Andrews botanic garden before they took their glass houses down.

    In  our Welsh garden I bought many 1,000 single snowdrops from Euro bulb.
    Back then they were maybe £50.00 for a 1,000.
    They thrived and bulked up well.
    When we moved to Scotland I bought another 9,000..we paid £70.00 for 1,000.
    Life is to short and to precious to wait for them to bulk up.
    Sorry I could never have afforded to buy from the small specialist grower.
    ..........................................

    Broadleigh are wonderful for rare, difficult to find bulbs in small quantities.
    But for buying bulk Galanthus nivalis in the green I would never buy from them.
    Price:10  = £4.00;
    Price 50  = £18.25;
    Price 100= £35.00
    Many years ago I was paying £3.50 for  one Galanthus atkinsonii...now I see Broadleigh are charging that for  one Galanthus nivalis!!!!!!

    Mine were a special birthday present from my OH ....... my birthday is in January.  Some were more unusual ones, most were nivalis and flore pleno ...   I've also had gifts of snowdrops (some of them special) from kind friends and family ... I don't think I've ever actually bought a snowdrop myself ... I've been very fortunate  :)

    By the way ... have you made a typo?  In one place you say Broadleigh are charging £4 for 10 nivalis ... but you go on to say they're charging £3.50 for one nivalis? or have I misunderstood your meaning?

    Lovely woodland garden @Silver surfer.  Sigh.
    Joe Sharman (Monksilver nursery) will be having a plant stall at a little plant fair happening near me soon and I hope to buy some snowdrops from him.  I know him - he attends the garden markets I organise.  But some of his snowdrops go for crazy, crazy prices:
