    Good, I like both of those ideas and just what would be needed for those moments of weakness, thank you. I would need to replace the sugar in the sorbet so found a good sugar alternative. 

    I did have a peep Dove. Do you use pizza dough to make your pasties?

    Rough puff pastry made using 50/50 butter and lard with strong white flour @Uff

    I haven't made it for years but I don't remember adding sugar. Maybe I did🤔

    Thanks Dove. I use suet pastry when I make pasties but yours sound tastier. I'll try that next time.
    I think the sorbet would freeze to ice if sugar (or substitute) wasn't added B3.

    A little dash of something alcofrolic would keep it a ‘soft ice’ and stop it freezing hard …🤫
