Young lettuce plants to put under plastic for spring.

I don't think I have ever been to Dobbies @KT53 or indeed any GC for a couple of years now but if you have been to one in January you kind of know what to expect in all of them.  It's like the corporate hotel decor where you have to check and see which town you woke up in  :D

I haven't been yet @Uff. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I'll be off.

I don't think we have dobbies unless they were the ones who bought Homebase, which has gone down the 🚽. Didn't they do a special on barbecues at Christmas one year? I believe they sell rather well in Australia at that time of year. A bit of local knowledge might have been useful.

Garden centres go some way to solving the mystery of where  charity shop donations originated.

Cyclamen coum plants. Generally I don't like buying bulbs/corms as potted plants because I am thrifty, but these are generally not much more expensive than corms and easier to place when in growth. (Any planted in autumn are liable to get sliced in two by my spade)...

That was Bunnings, and they were fab. Only lasted a year or so though. I'm still in mourning.
The nearest Dobbies to here is in Keston I think.

I had the same urge. Got some hellebores and some half price euphorbia. I’m planted the hellebores and I’m keeping the euphorbia out of the frost til I plant them.
