I went off tuna when they banned it some time ago and could never bring self to eat it again. I love fish. But you can’t be sure now if it’s doing you good or harm.
On a similar topic seems the deal with Australia is going to bring us meat as bad it would have been from America!

I agree with @Hostafan1 - we should leave the oceans alone for 10 years. But that is easy for me to say as I can't bear fish or seafood in any shape or form.
Round here they've been eating fish and seafood since prehistoric times and, whilst there are oyster and mussel farms along the coast here and markets selling locally caught fish, people still like to go and forage for cockles, mussels and crabs along the beaches and do their own line fishing too.

I used to buy those multi packs of individually wrapped salmon fillets from a well known store until a couple of years ago when the fish started to look visibly unattractive - pale with a bit too much fat for my liking. I also felt unwell after eating it. Now I know why!
As a result of this discussion which has been very helpful, I've done a bit more reading and will be very wary of shop bought fish in future. Thank you for this food alert!

We eat it to get the healthy fats and Possum actually likes it. Can't see her eating mackerel or sardines in the near future and I don't like tuna.

I support the 'voluntary extinction' movement. It's a big picture view.
