It makes it all stink Dove doesn't it? Because not only does Boris appear to think he's above the law, the people who are supposed to uphold the law also then uphold that view. The law can't be seen to be corrupt as well can it? You would have at least expected the police on site to have filed some form of report.
Much as you’d expect Prince Andrew’s security to have a record of his comings and goings.  After all, I presume he’ll have been claiming expenses Â

That sums up the person in question very well. I had dealings with another person when still working for the same organisation. We had similar jobs in different parts of the UK, and I always got on really well with him, until he was promoted. In his case it was more of a Napoleon complex he developed, which was put into words better than I could by one of the people who worked directly with him prior to his promotion. In her words "He changed from being a lovely, supportive colleague into a f***ing lying little g*bsh**e!"
@Plantminded  …. It’s a concept in management which, in short, is this …
The Peter principle states that a person who is competent at their job will earn a promotion to a position that requires different skills. If the promoted person lacks the skills required for the new role, they will be incompetent at the new level, and will not be promoted again. If the person is competent in the new role, they will be promoted again and will continue to be promoted until reaching a level at which they are incompetent. Being incompetent, the individual will not qualify for promotion again, and so will remain stuck at this "Final Placement" or "Peter's Plateau."
Thank you @Dovefromabove , so that's what I was witnessing in my former corporate life - I used to use a less flattering term! Thank goodness those days are over!

I would suggest that a large proportion of the current front bench proves the theory.Â
