OK @Ladybird4 - here is one of the stranger questions you will ever have been asked:

On your hols did you ever go into the Victorian gents toilets in Rothesay marina? They are quite famous and ladies are allowed to visit when no gents are actually using the facilities.

Really beautiful Art Nouveau fittings and tiling. When we visited some years ago there was a male attendant who took real pride on maintaining these listed facilities. I have never seen so much copper pipe work so beautifully polished in a public convenience. Gorgeous!

One of the more unusual tourist attractions I have visited over the years.

Bit of a cliff hanger ending for Shetland wasn't it?

  • Good morning everyone.  Topbird the Victorian loo sounds well presented.  A chilly one this morning.  Time for tea.

Hello there RosieBB and all to follow later. T'Bird you are correct, I have never been asked that question nor visited the Victorian Toilets at Rothesay Marina but as a regular at The Philharmonic - known affectionately as The Phil - in Liverpool whilst studying, my friends and I frequently visited the Victorian Gents Toilets there . I believe that the whole building has now got Grade 1 listed status and I reckon we contributed a great deal towards that accolade.
RosieBB I'm going to get my hair cut this morning and I notice that the cars are covered in frost - joy!
p.s. I meant to add T'Bird, that I agree with you about Shetland's ending. Presumably the next series will unravel all of this.

  • LB it’s 2 degrees this morning here so a little warmer.  Wrap up warm for your hair appmt, salons can be draughty places.  Take care.

Good morning Rosie, LB and all to follow.

LB, I'm so glad for your brother. He must be so happy now.

It's grey and bit warmer morning. Yesterday I came late home from cottage. I felt like frozen zit. It was -1℃ plus wind. It didn't stop my dog to have a very long walk.
My parcel will finally come today. Now is much better situation with the wind.

Good morning Ante. I'm glad that the wind had dropped for you but thank you very much for sending it back to us for this weekend - we have warnings for high winds on Saturday Its a bit cooler here than where you are RosieBB but warmer than where Ante is. Its 1°C. I will feel like a frozen zit when I go out. RosieBB, I am having my hair cut and coloured at my Bestie's today so no worries about draughty salons.

  • Good Morning Bluebells, LB & Ante and all to follow,
Bluebells How is your foot feeling? Hope you’ve got your snuggly fluffy lounger on this morning,
LB I’m so pleased that the property worked out well for your brother, it was meant to be. Hope your haircut goes well,
Ante Good to hear the wind has dropped and your parcel should arrive without any problems,
Hazel I hope your PCR test went ok yesterday and the house alarm quote was acceptable,
Topbird My sister and OH visited those toilets last year on their holiday, they really are stunningly beautiful toilets,
SGL Good that the presents are not too awkward shapes for wrapping, but children love to have a feel of the gift before its all unwrapped don’t they, it’s all part of the suspense 😊
Had a proper nights sleep and feel much better for it, hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all,

A light frost here but I'll be off to tidy two gardens shortly. My obsession with filling garden waste bins knows no bounds :D
