Geoffey Cox, ( our local MP ) was "ticket off" by the standards committee once when he "forgot" to declare £300,000 of income one year. ( I'm sure we've all forgotten such trifling sums of income eh? ) I might have had the teensiest bit of respect for him if he'd had the balls to vote against the government, rather than just hiding behind an abstention. Maybe there are too many skeletons in his own cupboard?
Mmm, I wasn't suggesting that abstaining on the vote was worthy of respect. Only that both he and Raab have been completely on board with a number of this government's illegal actions (proroguing parliament, breaking international law, etc) and it's interesting that even they couldn't put their names to this one. Which, as it turned out, the rest of them now regret. I sincerely hope it makes life more difficult for Boffle and his mates. I am though, very doubtful it'll have any lasting effect.
I agree @didyw. I even agree with David Mellor, @Hostafan1 and that's not something I ever expected to happen

Given it was Cox who was Solicitor General who advised on proroguing has learned that he needs " to keep his powder dry " at times. I've met David Mellor a few times at Operas as we have a mutual friend. He's not as vile as I'd imagined he would be. He's actually a really nice guy.
Just watching the tree rats digging up the crocuses that I planted yesterday😠
I had a bowl full that was covered with a wire basket. The little s*ds, managed to dislodge it & eat the lot. Caught the first mouse of the season in the utility room this morning.

I've never met DM so I can't say ... he may well be absolutely genuine, but I've met several others, including Cabinet Ministers ... all come across as 'really nice guys'.... MPs don't get to be MPs, with all the rounds of quasi-social selection events that they need to go through to get to where they are today without having very good social skills when they want to ... whether they have any morals or not is another matter.

Well, that's a coincidence isn't it?
