Thanks BC .. Im a typical Libran and simply cant make a decision easily! :-). It certainly looks like im going to have to at least double my budget if I dont want a massive lawn headache on my hands. Hey ho. But definitely under the £600 price bracket if possible. Id be nervous about getting a 2nd hand mower in case its got problems that arent easily noticed (it will be my first lawnmower ever! :-))
ooh and i forgot to mention . .. not bothered about roller and mulcher would be great if possible (but not essential) as grass will be going on compost heap.

I think the upper end Einhell you were considering are self-mulching I.e it cuts the grass very fine and puts it back into the lawn, so no need for emptying bags or composting.
And you could always just consider the lawn a two day job and do one half one day and one half the other. Or one half in the morning, one half in the afternoon to charge the batteries. Might be nicer to split up a big job like that anyway.
Could look at some 2nd hand pro machines you could get a really good one for around £500 it will outlast anything else you are looking at and get the job done faster . I see quite a few come on facebook market and various other site or try a local dealer .
I don't think battery lawnmowers are quite up to the task yet of larger gardens .
I always thought Briggs & Stratton have been American since day dot , the engines are getting better but the lower spec models with plastic carbs aren't the best . Can't go wrong with the Honda engines or better the kawasaki engines .
