I had the septic tank emptied at my new home today (nice!), and the chap thought a battery driven mower simply wouldnt be strong enough for my large and very bumpy garden - unless i wanted to be mowing all day every day :-). He suggested a petrol mower with a briggs and stratton motor (as can be repaired etc), would be a good option for me. Any thoughts on that at all I wonder?
Which? has reviews for 29 self-propelled, petrol powered lawn mowers that can cope with a large lawn.
To narrow the choice do you want
1. price £450-600 or £600+ 2. rear roller or not 3. mulching or not
Briggs and Stratton are very good engines but since they were bought out by an American company about 12 years ago they no longer have their former cachet. I would not restrict my choices only to B&S and from personal experience would definitely recommend Honda.
Alternatively look for second hand mowers from people who have upgraded to robot mowers or who have switched to battery models.

Have you measured your lawn?
I have their cheapest mower which comes with a 3a battery, but they go up to 2x and 4x 4ah battery.
Tge 2x4ah version is rated for 600m2 and (strangely) the 4x 4ah is only 100 more at 700m2. Might be worth calling Einhell about that.
It’s light and easy to charge. My concern for you is the sheer size of your lawn for any battery powered mower.
