@gilla.walmsley I have seen some of your photos posted on here. You clearly have an artistic eye that is a huge asset when planting a garden.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Your garden is so pretty. You thanked us but it's your hard work and skill that has made it so lovely.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thank you @GardenerSuze - I do know what I like the look of but I'm not great at visualising what things will look like when they're mature - which is not a very helpful trait when it comes to gardening  :D It's meant a lot of moving things around.

Although I really like the look of the circular lawn, I'd ideally like more space at the narrower part of the beds for a backdrop of shrubs and climbers against the fence, and then still have space in front for me to play games with annuals  :) Not too sure what to do with the lawn shape to achieve this, might have to go back to the drawing board!

What a pretty garden. I dream of making mine something like that,  I might steal a few of your ideas  B)
  • Steal away @bullfinch :)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments, much appreciated. It's a labour of love!

That is lovely @gilla.walmsley, very pretty and you have a good eye for colour etc. A labour of love indeed.
This should be held up as example of what can be achieved from a blank canvas  :)

Can't wait to see what happens next.
