  Viburnum have opposite leaves so can be ruled out.
  Mystery shrub leaves are alternate.
  
  On the 1st pic there are tiny leaves stipules..these remind me of willow/Salix

  Cannot say which willow.
  
  Are the leaves silver underneath?
  
  Need catkins to take id further.
  See pics below showing  stipules.
  Not many shrubs have these.

  Thanks @Silver surfer I'll pass that on .... it's a new customer so hopefully Wonky will still be visiting her in the spring when catkins should appear.  Probably a case of Watch This Space ...

  It looks willow like to me as well and is similar to a bay leaf willow.

  I have trimmed first pic to show the stipules.
  
  Sadly Bay willow...Salix pentandra does not have leaf stipules.

  I can't thank you all enough,  sorry,  had tooth ache and fell asleep.  This is my new customer who says it was sold to her as a honeysuckle!!! She has been waiting and I was the first to question it!! Her daughter has a larger garden which is where it is going .. the pot will hold tulips 🌷 😀xx
