Baking Tip. I make my own vanilla sugar by keeping a vanilla pod in a coffee jar full of caster sugar.
I had a nice surprise after lunch ... my son turned up to drive me to have my Booster Jab, so I didn't have to drive home after the jab with a potentially sore arm. Of course, my arm isn't sore at all and I feel perfectly fine (so far) but it was a very kind thought and it was lovely to see him.
Now OH has made me a chicken salad and a buttery baked sweet potato, then we'll put our feet up and watch the tv quiz shows. Definitely a good day
