Thanks @pitter-patter - you have some lovely plants there
Do you find that Sour Grapes fade to pink quite fast?
I did like it, but have way too much pink in my garden already.
Same with Dark Towers - I like the form and unusual leaf colour - but it's pink.

I renovated a border a few years ago and decided to plant just blue, white, pink and silver.
All the blue plants have died, white is doing OK, not much silver but the one colour I didn't want too much of -pink - are the only plants that seem to be thriving...

  • Sour Grapes is a mix of pink and blue, I don’t think I’ve seen it being completely pink, but I might be wrong. I need to try and put more thought when combining plants together.

That's my mantra when I go to a garden centre - never works

    Such beautiful photos…
Will I need to stake Raven, do you think? What’s best to use when staking?

I've got several patches of Raven dotted about the garden and one in a pot (below - in desperate need of planting out!)
They don't need staking once they've settled in and have formed a clump.
I have a couple of Raven right at the edge of the lawn and I use the round iron supports on them to stop them getting pruned when I mow

Ooh they’re lovely! Still flowering too. I’m having to sit on my hands to stop myself from going out and planting my titchy ones…

Try and resist the urge :)
They grow very quickly once they're in the ground and soon form a good clump.

A couple of years ago that one still had flowers at Christmas!
The current flower spikes are almost all buds at the mo, so plenty more flowers to come.

Amazing, I hope mine will behave as well as yours, some day.
  • Mine are sprawling at the moment. When and how do you prune them and can you cut them right back at any point.
