I came across a lovely group of porcelain fungus today while out on my walk. AKA The Slimy Beech Cap, and true to their name they're slimier than an angry slug. They are edible and apparently tasty but the slime understandably puts most people off.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I drove past this carving today and noticed the fungi so I thought I'd stop and take a photo. There was a line of Corsican pines along the road but this one died and was carved into a miner's lamp. The National Coal Museum is nearby so I'm not sure if this was anything to do with them.

I don't think mushrooms can get parking tickets I parked up the hill and walked down though. I'm not sure I'd trust my handbrake on that hill even if they did let you park there

Seems like a 'nature table' sort of thing.
