Back in the early 80s, on the return journey to the UK following a skiing holiday with friends, we had one of the friends' children in the car with our two as  she and her brothers had been bickering.  The plan was for us to meet up on the ferry give her back before entering the UK at Dover ferry terminal ... however something went wrong and they missed the ferry ... it was of course way before the days of mobile phones so we had no way of knowing until, having had them paged on the ferry they didn't turn up.  We had to enter the UK with an extra child for whom we had no documentation ... it was absolutely no problem back then ... I've a feeling it might not be so easy nowadays ... neither should it.

Don't you hate it when the low autumn sun shows up every speck of dust and every mark on the windows?😒

It's not really dust @B3 - it's just ageing eyes being a bit blurry :D  Tho that doesn't really account for the Pigeon shit I suppose.

My wife has an annoying habit of shaking her hands after washing them and splashing the kitchen windows. Cleaning windows is my job so the constant water marks drive me crazy. It's the sunniest, child-resistant window sill in the house too so I have to move a lot of plants to clean the glass.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Did you get the carpets cleaned @wild edges?

Yep all done. It took longer than I thought but the courier was collecting the machine first thing today so I soldiered on with it. The carpets still aren't dry though, even with the sun and breeze today helping, so we've got furniture piled up everywhere at the moment. I think I recovered enough sand to refill the sandpit too  :|
