  • I believe there is an orange flowering Cherry tree. Max. height and spread is 2 foot so ideal for growing in a pot or makes a decent hedge if grown one above the other. Lovely flavoured fruit which ripens in late Jan/early Feb with the added benefit of "self freezing" in the more northerly parts of the UK.
I think the name is Prunus deliriumii - highly recommended by the Amazing Cherry Growers Society. Worth a go I'd think altho I'm no expert.

The one that you can make jam with will flower in late spring.  The real wonder is this pink winter flowering beauty, the Cherry BLOSSOM tree that I originally recommended,  that lifts one's spirits and flowers through autumn, right through the bleak winter days, and then into spring.

Can't beat a good person down, surely you mean can't keep a god person down. Not sure your creative writing courses have done you much good.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

  • Don't be silly - I suggested a variety of Cherry tree which you were obviously unaware of.
If you don't want to grow it, that is your choice.  Not sure what "input" you are referring to - you suggest 1 variety and I suggested another. Where's the problem ?  If that is your definition of trash, abuse, defamation and bad mouthing may I suggest you purchase a decent dictionary and have a read through.

Jac19, it seems that some of the responses are hard to cope with. Have you considered showing this entire thread to your uncle, the consultant psychiatrist one, who may be able to understand the situation and have the experience to advise on the best approach?

In which case I take that back.  Apologies,  philippasmith2 .  I welcome that sort of post. I went and read it now and I've redacted my post  Thanks, it is a lovely tree.

No, what I wrote is the creative one and I deliberately did that.  The one you say is cliché and writers must avoid clichés and mixing metaphors.
